There are several scriptures that deal with our attitude toward work. In the Crown 10-week Small Group Study (SGS), we have a chapter dedicated to work. We explored the Genesis account regarding Adam and Eve being told to “tend to” the garden (Genesis 2:15).

Then in Proverbs 16:3 we learn we are to commit to the Lord whatever we do, and he will establish our plans. The one scripture that really brought it home for me is Colossians 3:23, where we are instructed to perform our work with all out heart, as if working for the Lord. This sounds like a calling, not a random after-thought.

Knowing this as a truth, it helps me commit daily to the work I am called to do, and will propel me to work with my clients in a manner worthy of working for Him.
