Julie – I know what you mean about the day of rest. I’ve been trying to be more intentional in resting one day a week… Trying to decrease our stimulation and be more intentional in our focus on Jesus that day.
I often feel overwhelmed by how much work I end up doing…I home school my 4 kids (ages 5,6,7 & 9), and also work prn nights and weekends as an L&D nurse. My husband is an administrator at the boarding school where we live on campus, so there are always functions we need to attend. Nutrition is important to me – we try to eat as little processed food as possible and I grind my wheat and make all my bread products, which equals a lot of time working in the kitchen. Add church and I feel like we’re always going, but I also feel like I spin my wheels too much. Feeling WAY busy and yet not getting much done. When I look at Jesus, He never seemed to be in a hurry. I want to honestly ask the Lord to trim back where I need to so my work is more productive and honoring to Him.
