Karen — It’s a blessing to meet people who have the proper perspective on retirement. They no longer work full-time for a paycheck, but they continue to use their time and talents to serve others and glorify God. Years ago, I read a quote that has been attributed to a variety of people. Several of the purported authors were by no means Christ followers. Yet it’s a great quote if you look at it through a Biblical stewardship lens. It says, “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: ‘Wow, what a ride!” May we give our lives to be “thoroughly used up” for God’s glory!
