I think when we plan properly, we are actually establishing priorities. Proper planning reminds me that what I have has been lovingly entrusted to me by God, and I want to honor Him in how I manage it. This leads us to making better decisions because we realize that we are grateful and accountable, and so don’t want to be wasteful. I am reminded of a time many years ago when my husband and I had to repair the roof of our home – we should have sought wise counsel first, because we ended up contracting a “semi-professional” to do the job, and had many problems for many years with that roof – lots of leaks and wasted money.
