Ladonna, I have struggled in the past with this as well. I have religiously worked out at a gym for over 10 years. Life happened during those 10 years so there were bouts of zero attendance. My work/school schedule over the last couple of years interfered with my gym schedule so I stopped it. So, when it was time for me to renew- I felt convicted about my motivation and the money and time I was investing- I felt the Lord telling me to use the yearly membership to sponsor a child. The cost was exactly the same because I paid my membership on an annual basis versus monthly. Anyway.. There is a quick 15/20 minute workout you can do at home that is very effective. It does help maintain if you find ways to change it up…you will do as many sit-ups as you can in 1 minute. Then rest as needed but not for too long, then repeat with squats, jumping jacks, push-ups. I usually start with jumping jacks to get warmed up. You will do 3 to 4 sets of these. 4 exercise x 3 sets x 1 minute = 12 minutes then use the rest of the available time for prayer as you stretch. elongate the spine first by reaching to the ceiling then touching your toes etc., lots of stretching ideas on the internet. After awhile I was completing 100 of each exercise: 25 rep in 4 sets in 10 minutes. This is able to be modified based on strengh/fitness or time limits. Hope it works out for you.
